Last Friday being the day the Stamp-Act was to take place,
the public were not much alarmed or displeased at the
morning's being usher'd in by the tolling of bells in
several parts of the town. . .
The following are copies of the labels affix'd on the
breasts of each of the above mention'd effigies, viz.
On that representing G---ge G--nv--le, holding out a
stamp-act in his left hand.
